We get a unique opportunity to get out into Kristianstad’s inaccessible wetlands. Reed areas, reeds and pastures and pastures make up the biosphere reserve Vattenriket. Great photo opportunities!
Feel free to bring binoculars to better study geese, ducks and waders along the way. Most often we see 5 species of birds of prey, sometimes up to 10 species. Herons are common and sometimes we see the rare kingfisher that nests here.
We also learn about Helgeån’s interesting history and how the landscape changed from the time Kristianstad was founded in the 17th century by the Danish king Christian the 4th until today.
